A Sensory Journey at Talvo: Unexpected Elegance in Champfèr Nestled in the charming village of Champfèr, Talvo transformed my quest for a simple lunch into an extraordinary culinary adventure. From the moment I stepped in, I knew I was in for a treat. Visual Delight
The restaurant’s beautiful setting immediately caught my eye. Each table was adorned with a small Swiss cow figurine, adding a whimsical touch to the elegant atmosphere. This attention to detail set the stage for the visual feast that was to come. In a moment of playful inspiration, I decided to christen my cow Ermentrude, giving a personal touch to my dining companion. Culinary Masterpieces • Starter: The ‘trofie - salami pasta - pecorino’ was a work of art. The presentation was impeccable, and the flavors were nothing short of top-notch. Each bite was a harmonious blend of textures and tastes. • Main Course: The country cut spare ribs were a revelation. Cooked sous vide for an impressive 36 hours, the meat was tender and full of flavor. Accompanied by homemade ketchup and segmented fried potatoes, this dish elevated comfort food to gourmet status. • Dessert: The chocolate dessert was the grand finale. The level of detail in its presentation was astounding - so elegant and visually stunning that it almost felt like a shame to disturb its perfection. Service Excellence
The white glove service at Talvo was impeccable, adding to the overall luxurious experience. The staff’s attention to detail matched the quality of the cuisine, creating a seamless and memorable dining experience. The Unexpected Twist What started as a search for a simple lunch turned into an unforgettable gastronomic journey. Talvo proves that sometimes the best experiences come when we least expect them. It’s a reminder to embrace serendipity in our culinary adventures. To the Talvo team: Your dedication to culinary artistry is evident in every dish. I’m curious - how often do you change your menu, and what inspires your innovative presentations? To fellow diners: Have you experienced any unexpected culinary surprises in Champfèr? I’d love to hear about your hidden gem discoveries in this charming Swiss village! And don’t forget to share - what did you name your table’s cow companion? The restaurant building itself is unique. The food pleasant with a trace of Asian inspiration!

Perfect ambiance and high end service We’ve spent our NYE at this place and everything was according to our expectations for that night. The staff was more than friendly and have prepared special events Excellent experience!

Talvo is a unique restaurant with the ambience of a luxury restaurant build into an old mountain hut. The Dalsass family welcomes every guest personally and even personally recommended the wines for us. The food combined the Alps with Mediterranean perfectly and the entire experience has been amazing. The wine selection is stunning and beyond the normal standard of a1 Star restaurant. The service is on point and always adequate. As a cigar smoker I also enjoyed the little extra room for cigar smokers without molesting other guests – brilliant and absolutely recommended!
